Namaste!
I am Prakash Garg, a self trained painting artist came from Batauli, a small village situated in northern Chhattisgarh, India. I am a travelling Artist exploring scripture based Indian art

My birth place Batauli is surrounded by nature, waterfalls, and tribal culture. Growing up, I was always inclined toward art, influenced by my mother, though I never knew it could be a profession.
My journey took a turn when I moved to Bilaspur for graduation, where friends recognized my talent and encouraged me to commercialize it. I started with pencil portraits and later explored canvas and acrylics. With their support, I participated in exhibitions, and by my final year, I was creating life-size paintings and wall art.
Despite family expectations of an engineering career, I chose to pursue art, and in 2016, winning the NBH International Youth Creativity Award became a major turning point. My painting Beyond the Dreams reflected my emotions at the time. I developed a unique style called “Conceptual Abstract,” which resonated with many.

To sustain my passion, I ventured into interior design with my first project from Mr. Prince Bhatia. By 2019, I had completed over 50 projects for homes, restaurants, and offices. In 2020, during the pandemic, I co-founded Project Batauli, a nonprofit promoting education and sustainability in rural areas, which deeply reconnected me with my roots.

This period led to my series The Very Me, capturing an emotional rollercoaster, which debuted at World Art Dubai 2020. During this I met Ashish Raj Bidkikar, who helped refine my work. In 2023, attending Sadhguru’s Inner Engineering program with my friend Rushiraj Mori was another pivotal moment, shifting my art toward devotion and scripture-inspired works.
With time, my artistic expression continues to evolve, reflecting my life experiences. I don’t know where this journey will take me next, but I trust that every phase will shape my canvas in ways I have yet to discover.

Thanks you for giving it a read!
